Hanken was founded in 1909 and it's one of the oldest business schools in Northern Europe. Still today, Hanken is the only stand-alone university-level business school in Finland, offering top-level Bachelor, Master and Doctoral studies in various fields of Economics and Business. Hanken has the rare “triple-crown” accreditation of international business school accreditations (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA).
Hanken is proud of being one of the most international universities in the Nordics. All Hanken’s Bachelor students go on exchange and many of the Master students have an international background. To achieve this, Hanken has built an impressive list of partner universities with the world’s top universities and business schools. Hanken is also proud of their graduates and alumni: up to 98 % of the 2018 & 2017 graduates had found employment within 6 months of completing their degree!
Hanken is located in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, and in Vaasa, the energy capital of the Nordics. Both cities have a vibrant business life and are definitely hubs for the Finnish industries’ headquarters and factories. The central locations enable Hanken to cooperate with businesses and different industries, ensuring that their students are offered loads of opportunities to connect with possible future employers.
