Your GPA needs to be average or above average (around 60%). Submit also a grading scale in English if the scale is not indicated in the transcript.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Finnish / Swedish.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 46, or equivalent, is required for entry.
The language certificate must be valid during the application period. The Pearson test of English, IELTS and TOEFL certificates are valid for two years. There are no limitations on the period of validity of the other certificates. A TOEFL test score will only be accepted if it has been directly submitted from the TOEFL Educational Testing Service (ETS). Edunation’s TOEFL code is C046.
Language test is not required if secondary level education has been completed in native English speaking country (USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand).
After you have submitted your application and KAMK has confirmed that you are eligible to apply, you will be sent instructions for the motivation letter and motivation video. Do not make the motivation letter and video before receiving the instructions since they include the questions you will need to answer.
The program is designed to encourage the development of entrepreneurial skills within the fields of International Business.
During the studies, you will specialize in international marketing in a modern, digitalised environment. You will benefit from a multidisciplinary approach to marketing communications, supplemented with specific current phenomenon such as digital marketing automation, storytelling, content marketing, online customer dialogue, and mobile marketing.
Basic studies provide the student with the information needed to understand the fundamental processes of business operations. Professional studies include special study modules covering different areas of international business activities. The studies emphasize the framework and strategies of international business, international marketing and digital environment, international management and communication skills. Specialization studies and free-choice studies provide the student with the opportunity to deepen and widen knowledge related to his/her own professional field.
An essential part of the degree program is also a 5-month practical training period which gives you the opportunity to apply acquired theory in practice. The practical training can be accomplished in Finland or abroad. Towards the end of your studies, you will also complete a thesis in the form of a project work, research work or applied research. The purpose of the thesis is to demonstrate your ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during your studies. With personal study planning, it is also possible to complete the degree in a shorter time than the official 3.5 years.
Graduates of the International Business program will be able to choose from a variety of employment positions from being self-employed to working in management, planning and development positions within projects, sales and marketing in both private and public sector. It is also possible to continue studies towards a master’s degree at a university.
